Unveiled in 2022, the 2023 Aston Martin V12 Vantage Roadster benefits from advanced enhancements in its drivetrain and chassis, drawing inspiration from the coupe variant. It is powered by a 5.2-liter twin-turbo V-12 engine sourced from the DBS Superleggera, generating an impressive 690 horsepower and 555 lb-ft of torque. The engine’s output is channeled to the rear wheels through an eight-speed automatic transaxle and a mechanical limited-slip differential. Additionally, the vehicle boasts a widened track and an updated suspension system, providing superior traction and handling capabilities. Accelerating from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.5 seconds, the V12 Vantage Roadster achieves a top speed of 200 mph.
Performance-wise, the V12 Vantage Roadster mirrors the aerodynamic modifications seen in its fixed-roof sibling, featuring redesigned bumpers and underbody components. Notably, carbon fiber accents are utilized in various areas such as the bumper, hood, front fenders, and side sills, contributing to a total downforce of 476 pounds and ensuring efficient cooling for the potent engine housed beneath the front clamshell.
Within the cabin, occupants are greeted by Sports Plus Seats adorned in luxurious semi-aniline leather, complete with the iconic Aston Martin ‘Wings’ logo embroidered on the headrests. For those seeking further weight reduction, an optional performance seat with a visible carbon fiber shell and manual 6-way adjustment is available. The interior is embellished with handcrafted carbon fiber panel trim, offering customization options such as tinted lacquers through Aston Martin’s Q personalization service, which extends to exterior graphics and woven leather upholstery.
Only 333 units of the V12 Vantage coupés were produced by Aston Martin, further enhancing the exclusivity of the V12 Vantage Roadster with a limited production run of just 249 vehicles. These factors combined make it an exceptional convertible sports car with a commanding V12 powertrain.
