Acura has refreshed its best-selling RDX compact crossover for the 2025 model year, improving the vehicle’s aesthetics and introducing enhancements in the interior.

When the 2025 Acura RDX debuts in showrooms this month, it will cost $46,050 which includes a $1,350 destination fee.

On its exterior, the 2025 RDX features a new frameless grille design with an updated mesh layout. There are also new wheel designs, including for the standard 19-inch wheels, as well as three additional color choices: Solar Silver Metallic, Canyon River Blue Metallic, and Urban Gray Pearl.

Customers desiring a sportier look can opt for the A-Spec version, which includes extra blacked-out details and standard 20-inch wheels.

Most of the enhancements are located inside the vehicle. The center console has been restructured to provide more storage, including larger cupholders. Acura stated that access to the wireless phone charger has also been improved.

The infotainment display remains a 10.2-inch unit, but a new wide-screen mode has been introduced for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, offering wireless connectivity in the 2025 RDX. RDX SUVs fitted with the Advance Package now include full leather upholstery and added ambient lighting that extends to the speakers mounted on the doors.

Every RDX model comes standard with a sport-tuned suspension that can be enhanced with optional adaptive dampers.

There have been no modifications in the powertrain area, which means that the 2025 RDX is equipped with a 2.0-liter turbo-4 generating 272 hp. The engine is paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission and powers all four wheels through a rear-biased all-wheel-drive system that can distribute up to 70% of the drive torque to the rear axle and 100% of that to an individual rear wheel to aid in cornering.

For those looking for enhanced performance, Acura has indicated that all its models will eventually offer a sporty Type S variant, although the RDX is not anticipated to receive this upgrade until a redesigned version is released.

The current RDX has been available since the 2019 model year, and it continues to sell robustly, achieving nearly 40,000 units in the U.S. last year.
