The 2025 Audi Q6 E-Tron electric compact crossover is set to hit U.S. dealerships later this year, followed by the unveiling of a more sportily designed Q6 Sportback E-Tron, which Audi disclosed on Monday during the 2024 Paris auto show in both standard Q6 E-Tron and the more performance-oriented SQ6 E-Tron formats.
Aside from the design differences, both models offer similar features, although their varying aerodynamic characteristics might lead to differing range estimates. While Audi has not released specific range figures for the Q6 Sportback E-Tron, the standard Q6 E-Tron has an EPA-rated range of up to 321 miles with rear-wheel drive and 307 miles with all-wheel drive. No range data has been confirmed for the regular SQ6 E-Tron as of yet.
The Q6 Sportback E-Tron lineup will come exclusively with all-wheel drive in the U.S. The dual-motor powertrain will generate 422 horsepower (456 hp with launch control) in the Q6 Sportback E-Tron and 483 horsepower (509 hp with launch control) in the SQ6 Sportback E-Tron. The top speeds are electronically limited to 130 and 143 mph, respectively, with a towing capacity of 4,400 pounds.

The Q6 E-Tron series is built on Volkswagen Group’s new PPE modular platform, created for high-production electric vehicles from the automaker’s premium brands. This platform is also utilized by the electric Porsche Macan launched for 2024. For the Q6 Sportback E-Tron, a 100-kwh battery (94.4-kwh gross capacity) will be the standard option for the U.S. market.
With the implementation of an 800-volt electrical architecture, Audi claims that charging the battery from 10% to 80% can be achieved in as little as 21 minutes using a DC fast charger.
The Q6 Sportback E-Tron will feature standard amenities such as a curved display that comprises an 11.9-inch digital gauge cluster and a 14.5-inch touchscreen for infotainment. Additional features, available either as standard or optional, include a 10.9-inch touchscreen for the front passenger, a 20-speaker Bang & Olufsen audio system, a panoramic sunroof, heated rear seats and steering wheel, and adaptive dampers equipped with air suspension.

An Audi representative stated that the Q6 Sportback E-Tron and SQ6 Sportback E-Tron are expected to launch as 2025 models, with pricing details to be released closer to the spring or summer market launch. The base prices for the regular Q6 E-Tron and SQ6 E-Tron start at $65,095 and $74,195, respectively, including a $1,295 destination fee, with the Sportback versions likely to come at a slight premium.
Additional Q6 E-Tron models are on the horizon, including a high-performance RS Q6 E-Tron and potentially an adventurous off-roader to commemorate Audi’s participation in the Dakar Rally.
