The automaker has cut the entry price for the 2025 RZ by launching a new base trim, now offered on both the rear-wheel-drive RZ 300e and the all-wheel-drive RZ 450e. Additionally, Lexus has lowered the prices of the existing Premium and Luxury trims for the 2025 lineup.
2025 Lexus RZ
The new entry-level 2025 RZ 300e begins at $43,975, which is $11,175 less than the starting cost of the 2024 RZ, where the base model was the RZ 300e Premium. This Premium trim for 2025 is now priced at $48,175, resulting in a saving of $7,000 from the previous year. The highest trim, the RZ 300e Luxury, starts at $53,905 for 2025, also reflecting a $7,000 decrease from last year.
Buyers of the RZ 450e will also see substantial savings. The new base 2025 RZ 450e has a starting price of $48,675, down $11,175 from the previous entry-level model, the 2024 RZ 450e Premium. Meanwhile, the 2025 RZ 450e Premium is priced at $52,875, and the Luxury version at $58,605, offering savings of $6,975 compared to last year’s models.
The RZ utilizes the e-TNGA platform that it shares with the Toyota BZ4X and the Subaru Solterra. Notably, the RZ 300e comes equipped with a slightly larger battery (72.8 kWh) compared to the RZ 450e (71.4 kWh) and features a single front motor rated at 201 hp, leading to higher EPA range estimates. For 2024, the maximum EPA range is expected to be 266 miles for the RZ 300e and 220 miles for the RZ 450e, likely similar for the 2025 model.
The RZ 450e compensates for its lesser range with improved performance, boasting a dual-motor, all-wheel-drive setup yielding 308 hp, allowing for a 0-60 mph time of five seconds.
In spite of the introduction of the new base trims, Lexus continues to provide standard features including 18-inch wheels, a 14-inch touchscreen for the infotainment system, and various electronic driver-assist technologies. More detailed specifications will be revealed as the market launch date approaches later this year.
The RZ is produced in a facility located in Japan, and all listed prices account for destination fees.
