The Chevrolet C8 Corvette Z06 accomplished an outstanding lap duration of 2 minutes and 19.18 seconds at the Circuit of the Americas (COTA) in Austin, Texas. The vehicle was piloted by David Donohue, a test driver for Hennessey Venom F5.
The Z06 is propelled by a 5.5-liter V8 engine mounted in the middle, featuring a flat-plane crankshaft, generating 670 horsepower at 8400 revolutions per minute and 460 lb-ft of torque at 6300 revolutions per minute. It comes with an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and an electronic limited-slip differential, transmitting power to the rear wheels.
