The newest GTS model from McLaren has been revealed, set to take the place of the GT. This GTS provides exceptional driving dynamics and performance, along with comfort, sophistication, and ample storage capacity for daily use and extended journeys.

“The fresh McLaren GTS offers an unparalleled blend of McLaren driving dynamics and performance, coupled with refinement and functionality. When craving a genuine supercar driving adventure, the GTS delivers just that; when desiring relaxation on lengthier trips or with luggage for a weekend getaway, the GTS stands as an excellent companion. This vehicle embodies McLaren’s racing DNA while showcasing multiple layers of capability.” Michael Leiters, CEO, McLaren Automotive

While preserving McLaren’s distinctive design and power-to-weight ratio, the new GTS arrives with improved visual charm and an expanded range of exterior and interior choices.

The graceful exterior design of the GT acts as the base for the GTS’ aerodynamic package and profile, but with enhanced visual upgrades that make it even more commanding. At the front, the GTS flaunts a fresh lower front bumper section with more prominent air intakes, while the back fenders showcase new, taller air scoops to enhance airflow into the engine.

The McLaren GTS is constructed using the carbon fiber MonoCell II-T monocoque chassis, tailored for mid-engine supercars. The recycled carbon fiber composite roof aids in weight reduction without compromising performance and comfort. These design decisions contribute to a nimble driving experience without sacrificing ride comfort or introducing excessive noise, harshness, and vibration.

Weighing a mere 3,351lbs (DIN), the GTS earns the title of the lightest car in its category, boasting an exceptional power-to-weight ratio of 412bhp-per-ton. The V8 M840TE 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged engine now generates 626bhp at 7,500rpm, a 14bhp bump achieved through refined crankshaft torque from more vigorous combustion phasing and ignition timing adjustments. The vehicle includes launch control for remarkable acceleration.

The GTS sprints from 0-60mph in a mere 3.1 seconds and achieves 0-124mph in only 8.9 seconds when the function is engaged; showcasing its agility. The top speed of the GTS is recorded at 203mph.

Equipped with a seven-speed SSG transmission, the GTS delivers fluid, seamless, and rapid shifts in the default Comfort mode from start-up, ensuring a relaxing yet brisk acceleration. Additionally, drivers can elevate their supercar experience with two additional driving modes – Sport and Track – accessible via the Active Dynamics Panel. Sport mode brings heightened intensity and urgency, with momentary ignition-spark-cut technology delivering quicker and more aggressive gear shifts. Track mode elevates this further, maximizing gearbox performance with minimal torque loss between shifts. Manual gearshift control is viable using the steering-wheel-mounted paddle shifters in any drive mode.

Complementing the practical aspect of the GTS is an interior designed to meld the car’s level of performance with a refined and opulent space, offering comfort for long-distance trips and enabling the driver to fully exploit the vehicle’s exceptional dynamic capabilities.

The interior of the McLaren GTS boasts premium materials to create a sense of performance and luxury. Featuring machine-polished and knurled aluminum controls, gloss black surrounds, and optional visual carbon fiber packs.

The standard Comfort seats in the GTS come upholstered in Nappa leather, accompanied by a leather-wrapped steering wheel. Additionally, Performance and TechLux interior schemes present sophisticated design alternatives for the seats.

McLaren GTS introduces fresh exterior color options like Mantis Green, Tanzanite Blue, and Ice White, alongside an exclusive color called Lava Grey featuring a sparkling red fleck for a distinctive visual impact.

The McLaren GTS now offers a new 10-spoke Turbine lightweight forged alloy wheel in various finishes, alongside standard 10-twin-spoke forged alloy wheel choices, with optional titanium locking wheel bolts, diminishing the car’s unsprung mass. The vehicle is also paired with Pirelli P ZERO™ tires specially crafted for the GTS, guaranteeing high performance and grip.
