An electric SUV by Cadillac called the Escalade IQ will hit the market later this summer. Meanwhile, the petroleum-powered model will be retained in the lineup alongside the electric version, with an array of updates to align its styling and technology with that of its more modern sibling.
On Wednesday, Cadillac revealed the enhanced Escalade and officially announced the kickoff of production scheduled for later this year, followed by imminent sales. Just like the Escalade IQ, the upgraded Escalade will be released as a 2025 model in the United States, with both the standard Escalade and the high-powered Escalade-V being offered simultaneously.
The alterations to the Escalade are substantial. The exterior metamorphosis is evident in the novel front-end design, featuring slender turn signals at the forefront of the hood. Beneath this design element lies the primary headlamp cluster in a vertical orientation, housing the daytime running lights as well. Notably, the crest logo and grille surround are now luminous.
Further external modifications include a revamped rear fascia with reshaped taillights, fresh configurations for the exhaust tips, and novel wheel designs ranging from 22 to 24 inches in diameter. The 24-inch wheels will be the largest ever mounted on an Escalade.

The interior has also undergone a significant revamp. At the forefront is a fresh dashboard incorporating the cutting-edge aesthetics seen in the Escalade IQ. This includes a total of 55 inches of digital screens spread across the dashboard width, serving as the gauge cluster, infotainment screen, and a screen dedicated to the front passenger. Additionally, there is an additional screen embedded in the center console for managing climate settings and other vehicle configurations. Cadillac has reassured the continuation of offering Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
The luxurious features encompass power-operated doors, with the driver’s door capable of automatically opening upon approach, an AKG sound system equipped with 36 speakers as standard, upgrading to 40 when coupled with the executive second-row package, and General Motors’ Super Cruise self-driving technology designed for highways.
There have been no mentions of any mechanical alterations by Cadillac. The brand highlights the inclusion of air springs and magnetic dampers as standard across most models.
2025 Cadillac Escalade V
Currently, Escalade buyers have a choice between two variants in the conventional SUV segment: a 420-hp 6.2-liter V-8 engine or a 277-hp 3.0-liter turbodiesel inline-6. Both powertrains offer sufficient performance, but for unmatched thrill, the Escalade-V boasts a 682-hp supercharged 6.2-liter V-8 engine.
All models come equipped with a 10-speed automatic transmission as standard, with rear-wheel drive being the standard configuration for regular models, while the Escalade-V offers a standard four-wheel-drive system option.
