A revamped Nissan Armada is set to debut soon, and a teaser image unveiled on Monday offers a glimpse of the SUV’s grille.
The updated Armada will be completely unveiled on Sept. 3, as Nissan has indicated, and we can anticipate its arrival in dealerships as a 2025 model in the U.S.
Similar to the existing Armada, the forthcoming generation will be branded as the Nissan Patrol outside the U.S. The Patrol is a label that has been around since 1951 and represents Nissan’s most formidable SUV, enhancing the newly designed Armada’s off-road reputation.
Nissan has yet to disclose any specifics about the new Armada and its Patrol counterparts, but insights can be gleaned from the redesigned 2025 Infiniti QX80, which will utilize the same platform as the Nissans. The QX80’s twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V-6 engine is expected to be available in the Nissans, replacing the current 5.6-liter V-8 found in the SUVs. The V-6 engine produces 450 horsepower in the QX80, which exceeds the current Armada’s V-8 output by 50 horsepower.
The interior space of the QX80 has also increased with its redesign, and a similar expansion is expected for the Armada and Patrol. Anticipate a more premium look, featuring larger displays and enhanced material quality. Nissan may have preemptively adjusted its pricing strategy, raising the cost of the 2024 Armada. Starting at $57,345, which includes a $1,895 destination fee, its base price is nearly $5,000 higher than that of the 2023 version.
A refreshed Murano is also anticipated to debut for the 2025 model year. Like the Armada, it is expected to shift towards a more upscale market while transitioning to a smaller engine.
