Tires resemble tools in many ways. Just like tools are essential for getting the job done in a trade, tires must be reliable to ensure that tasks are completed efficiently. While they aren’t stored like tools in a toolbox, tires are crucial “tools” for starting and finishing a job. Whether it’s transporting materials from a lumberyard or hauling a cement mixer to a worksite, a tradesperson’s truck requires a sturdy and adaptable set of tires capable of navigating various weather conditions, both on highways and off the beaten path.

Dustin Bianchi, the owner of this truck, has spent more than 20 years working in construction. His extensive experience has honed his understanding of the best tires for his 2016 Chevy Silverado. He typically opts for all-terrain tires, and when it came time to purchase a new set, he chose Nitto’s latest Terra Grappler G3 tires. “When I first saw the tires, I was amazed that they were labeled as all-terrain because such an attractive tire usually falls into the mud-terrain category. Then, I noticed the impressive treadwear warranty and the 3PMS rating, and I was sold,” he remarked.

The most reliable tools come with a warranty, an assurance from the manufacturer about the quality of their product, indicating that these tools are trustworthy. The same principle applies to tires. Nitto’s newest all-terrain tire offers a 55,000-mile warranty for LT metric sizes and an impressive 70,000-mile treadwear rating for hard metric sizes. That’s a substantial mileage, implying it will be quite some time before a tire shop visit is necessary again.

High-quality tools are also known for their versatility, much like the all-terrain tire. Nitto’s Terra Grappler G3 is rated with the 3 Mountain Peak Snow (3PMS) certification, adding an extra layer of versatility that isn’t always found in all-terrain tires. For Dustin and his work, this designation means he doesn’t have to fret about how light snow or rain might impact his ability to reach nearly any job site, regardless of its remoteness.

“I rely on my truck daily, and it’s also crucial that it presents well, especially when I’m meeting with potential clients. I appreciate how well the tires perform in varying weather conditions, and they improve the overall appearance of my truck,” Dustin shared. All of Nitto’s Grappler tires are available with two distinct sidewall designs, including the Terra Grappler G3, ensuring there’s a style to complement any work vehicle or corporate image.

“Thus far, I’ve logged roughly 5,000 miles on these tires, but I’ve experienced two seasons with them, and they have been a significant upgrade from the tires I previously owned. This is the first time anyone has commented positively on my truck’s tires.”
