Porsche has introduced two fresh models in their electric four-door sports car lineup, the Taycan Turbo GT and the Turbo GT with Weissach Package. These variations are tailor-made for circuit prowess, flaunting a lighter frame, upgraded electric motor, and enhanced aerodynamics, all contributing significantly to the Taycan’s performance.
An exclusive sneak peek of the Taycan Turbo GT with Weissach Package was presented to Top Gear magazine, rocking Laguna Seca raceway with an outstanding lap time of 1:27.87 minutes, earning the title of the fastest vehicle on that specific track.
This particular variant also boasts the prestigious title of setting the fastest lap at the Nürburgring Nordschleife, completing it in an astonishing 7:07.55 minutes, surpassing the previous record set by the Taycan Turbo S in 2022 by a commendable 26 seconds.
The Taycan Turbo GT emerges as the swiftest accelerating and most potent Porsche ever launched. This latest Taycan is furnished with a dual-motor powertrain yielding up to 1,092 hp, empowering the electric automobile to surge from 0 to 60 mph in a mere 2.3 seconds, or even quicker in 2.2 seconds with the optional Weissach Package.
