The 1989 FJ142 Land Cruiser maintains the classic appearance of a Land Cruiser from the 1980s, incorporating the body of the FJ62 model that was popular during that era. However, this body is mounted on the frame of a FZJ80 Land Cruiser from the 1990s, which has been upgraded with modern enhancements.

Additional exterior modifications consist of LED headlights, a fresh front bumper, a rear bumper equipped with a tire carrier, new front fender, rear quarter vents, a Warn winch, and automatic side steps. The FJ142 cruises on 33-inch Kenda Klever R/T tires.
This vehicle is a genuine modernized version, equipped with contemporary powertrain and chassis components. A General Motors LS3 V-8 crate engine performs through a new stainless steel exhaust system, while the suspension has been enhanced with Fox shocks, new springs, and sway bars.
