The new electrified variant of the top-selling GLC-Class by Mercedes-Benz is the 2025 GLC 350e plug-in hybrid. It is currently arriving in U.S. dealerships and has a price tag of $61,050 which includes a $1,150 destination fee.
The newest iteration of the GLC-Class debuted for the 2023 production year, starting off with a single GLC 300 trim powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder generating 258 hp. The GLC 350e enhances the GLC 300 by incorporating an electric motor generating 134 hp, resulting in a total output of 313 hp.
A substantial 24.8-kwh battery provides an EPA-rated electric range of 54 miles. According to Mercedes, a complete charge using a DC fast charger will take approximately 30 minutes.
When operating in electric mode, the maximum speed is capped at 87 mph. The driver can choose Electric mode via a drive mode selector. Additionally, there is an Off-Road mode that permits the vehicle to run solely on electric power, even in off-road conditions.
2025 Mercedes-Benz GLC-Class (GLC 350e)
Included as standard features are all-wheel drive, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, an 11.9-inch infotainment display, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, wireless charging for smartphones, heated 16-way front seats with memory settings, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, ambient lighting, a power-operated tailgate, and a range of electronic driver-assistance technologies.
The latest GLC-Class is also offered with a coupe-like design, but Mercedes has not disclosed whether this option can be paired with the GLC 350e variant.
The recent GLC 63 from AMG is similarly a plug-in hybrid. Referred to as the GLC 63 S E Performance, it produces up to 671 hp with a 2.0-liter turbo engine at the front and a robust electric motor at the rear.
Prospective buyers who can be patient can anticipate an electric GLC-Class. Prototypes for this model are currently undergoing testing, with a launch projected for sometime next year.
